Rick was born and raised In the " birthplace of Rock n' Roll" Memphis Tennessee . At the age of 17, while attending the Overton High School for The Creative and Performing Arts, Rick began playing professionally at a local amusement park. While studying Recording Engineering at Memphis State University,  he toured the continents of Europe, Iceland,  and Greenland performing with the USO entertaining our troops overseas. Over the years Rick has played behind artists such as Natalie Cole, Carla Thomas, Smoochie Smith and Sonny Burgess. He was also the drummer with the Stunning Cunning Band for over 4 years. Rick's philosophy on drumming - "Keep it simple man!"
